In 1991, Bob Carroll was diagnosed with a kidney stone lodged in a bile duct. The doctor gave him morphine for the pain while waiting for treatment. He had an allergic reaction to the drug. Bob had to wait approximately one week for treatment. During the surgery, tumors were found in Bob’s bladder leading to the diagnosis of bladder cancer.

Bob had three surgeries over the period of one year. Each time, the tumors returned. He also had chemotherapy treatments following each surgery. All the while the church and family are praying for healing. During the third treatment, Bob had an allergic reaction to the chemo. It was at that point he decided the he wanted no further treatments.

Bob’s doctor advised his body had cancer-producing cells, and the cancer would continue to come back. Left untreated, the cancer would spread through the bladder walls and go throughout his body ultimately killing him.

Every time Bob came to church, he had the church pray. His confession when asked was that he was “The healed of The Lord”.

Throughout the entire ordeal, Bob had no set medical or sick day benefits from his job. However, Bob never missed a paycheck.

Bob returned for his three-month, six-month and one year checkups where the doctor gave him a clean bill of health each time.

In 2003 Bob went back due to a new kidney stone lodged in his urethra. Upon examination, the doctor advised he had found a tumor. The doctor had taken biopsies and the results said the tumor was malignant. The doctor recommended removal of his urethra, kidney, and part of his bladder. Bob emphatically refused telling the doctor he could operate to remove the tumor but when he got in there, he would find nothing. He was after all the healed of The Lord!

When Bob went into surgery, the doctor found no evidence of the tumor. The doctor didn’t understand.

Bob has been back for his three-month checkup and has a clean bill of health.
